It's very spacious with a great ambiance. We made a cozy fire in the stove. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a nice supply of toiletries.

We had trouble using the door locks and all of the instructions were overwhelming( e.g. using hot water, cleaning up, etc.) I've never been asked to strip the beds but really, it isn't a big deal. The place is very cozy.

It felt authentic. We enjoyed making a fire in the stove in the evening. It was very easy and we had everything we needed.

Wish there was a lock on the bedroom door for privacy.

Very comfortable and quiet with a lovely garden. Located an easy ten minute walk outside Clifden in pretty countryside. We took a longer walk into town for dinner, as recommended by Rita, and enjoyed wonderful views. The beds were super comfortable and you could tell a lot of care had been put into the property

I had trouble regulating the temperature of the shower until realising if you press the eco button it’s ok

The Old School House is absolutely ideal in every regard. It's such a cosy and inviting house with everything you need. Michael and Rita are warm and welcoming and the location is perfect for exploring Connemara or just rambling into Clifden.
