Cuillrigh - Luxury house, loch & mountain views

Cuillrigh was absolutely wonderful. The view took our breath away. We loved all the amenities and the welcome gift was very thoughtful. The house was decorated with many items from local artists which can be found in Portree. One of the best BnB's we've stayed in by far. Although, not really walkable to downtown Portree (~3+ mi one-way), it is a short drive and worth the views and privacy. We lucked out on the weather (warm-ish days, little rain), but also made it slightly warm in the house.. be sure to read the welcome book as it describe the best ways to cool the house if it's warm. The house was very spacious, the linens were high quality and well kept, and it was nice to have large towels to dry off with. Overall, this place was incredible and we will recommend it to friends as well as stay here again.

Fabulous location & views. Stunning Eco house which has been decorated beautifully to a high spec. Lovely little extras of slippers, soaps, biscuits, coffee pods etc. Really clean, comfortable beds and a great book about the surrounding area. Responsive host to any questions we had. Would love to stay here again and would certainly recommend.

This lovely house was well located - easy to travel anywhere you would want to go. It was a great “home base” for us on Isle of Skye. The views were amazing from every window. The home was spacious and clean. And it was laid out in a way that worked very well for the 4 of us traveling. It was great to have use of the washer and dryer and to have 2 full bathrooms. And the fireplace made for some lovely, cozy evenings

Super modern house, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, tastefully decorated, every window frames a beautiful view. Very friendly and attentive host, offered great recommendations on attractions and restaurants. Cuillrigh was best stay during our 12 days Scotland trip. We cannot be happier choosing to stay here.

It would be nice if the bathroom upstairs has a couple of hooks. Other than that we cannot find anything, it is a perfect holiday house.

The views were exquisite (horse farm on one side, mountains on the other, wildflowers, view of the loch from the bedroom). The house was very comfy and cute - little touches of art. The owners had thought of everything to make our presence easy. We picked up food from the Portree coop and cooked breakfast each morning. The presence of the washer-dryer was immensely useful for our kids' clothes on travel (a benefit that was at par with the scenery!)

unfortunately the bathroom door didn’t lock very well and when it did it was difficult to open. My son got locked in and we had to rescue him with a coin. it was very hot and we couldn’t open any windows due to the midgies. it would be great to have more than one air conditioning unit.
