Elfin Cottage

Elfin Cottage was easy to locate, and is the cosiest spot to recover after adventuring around Skye! It's just 15 minutes outside of Portree, and it was easy to drive to everywhere I wanted to explore on the island. Not to mention, the cottage looks out to a stunning view!

Wonderful location and even though it's in the owner's front yard it felt mostly private. The space was clean with great views of the surrounding farms and hills. Photo opps right out the front door!

The wifi was very slow and near unusable. We would have still booked all the same.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Would be great for 1-2 nights only and with no wet coats and muddy boots to get dry.

No toaster. Main issue was shower, difficult to regulate, tepid water after few minutes, no pressure.

Ideal location for travelling around the island. Based very close to Portree, 5 minute drive with good roads linking to Storr, Quiraing and further.

Nothing to complain about. I had seen reviews that the WIFI was poor but I still had good phone signal I and around the property ... not that it should matter!

The cottage was very clean and in a lovely area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye.

One slight niggle was that the locking mechanism in the bathroom door was not working and the door couldn’t be locked.

We loved everything. Cozy, comfortable cottage with everything you need. Modern and very clean and well equipped. The views from the front deck are exceptional. Loved every minute.

Nothing to dislike.

The cottage is beautiful there is everything what you need . First able is absolutely clean , you have all comfort. From the big window you have a wonderful landscape. Close to the cottage 5 minutes by car there is a really good restaurant. It s a bit expensive but the food is really nice. I really high recommended. We didn’t want to leave.

The owner was available via email before and during the trip to answer questions and make suggestions. Even sent a helpful.video. for driving on the left. The facility was small, but suited our needs and was.situtated in a beautiful country setting.
