Villa Oscar

The flat ist located in Michelizia Resort, which is very tidy and nicely arranged. It is equipped with most of the stuff you need for your holidays, e.g. things like umbrellas for the sun. The cooling of the flat was modern and very well functioning without making much noise. The flat can fit 6 people easily, we would not recommend it for more people. The owner provided 24/7 service via WhatsApp, if there was a question. The location is good - around 10 min walk into the city center of Tropea and around 20 min in the other direction to Lido del Nonno (that one we highly recommend, it is much less frequented and windy than the mainstream ones in Tropea).

We traveled with toddlers and the stairs in the flat are a very high safety risk for them. We were lucky that we had a double stroller with us and could block it this way. Some kind of safety door would be nice for families. Unfortunately, vac and microwave did not work on but would have helped us a lot.

The backyard with outdoor shower was beautiful and private. Great family space. We fit 6 adults and 2 children comfortably.

The air conditioner did not cool the downstairs too well. You must keep bedroom doors and windows open.

Oscar’s Villa is in prime location to Tropea center and has amazing facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant was open on Christmas Day and offered lunch to guests which was a lovely, unexpected treat. We felt at home during our stay for the holidays and cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend!

We liked the location of the house, close to the old town. We enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the terrace. The host gave us all the information we needed.

Location is a 10 minute walk from the center

Unfortunately our stay has been pretty bad. Be mindful, the lower ground, where two bedroom and one bathroom are located, have very small windows, with little exchange of air. Only one of the room has a decent window, but unfortunately is facing in the middle of a garage, that is used by working people of the adjacent resort, with loading and unloading of beverage and linen (with trolleys) and relative noise, on top of that there are several workers who smokes there, therefore the smell comes inside the whole lower ground floor. But what is more annoying is the constant noise that comes from a pump close to the window, this is a pump that work all day long, night included. We obviously raise the issue with the host, but unsuccessfully. He told us that he will speak with the manager of the resort, but nothing changed. We made clear that we were happy to leave, but this has not been accepted, so we had to give up and spend our stay in a house that was not as described and expected
