Stay in Westow

Good amount of parking, the apartment was very spacious and a comfy sofa and big kitchen.

The cottage was a bit cosy in 2 of the bedrooms, no floor space for suitcases etc, but still good value for money for how many people it accomodated.

Beautiful and spacious house / flat / apartment. Very very clean and comfortable. A lovely little village to explore. The hosts are amazing and very easy to communicate with. Home away from home

Bigger than expected Quiet location Nice pub below

Literally crawling distance to the pub! The food we had was of a very high standard, but prices were consequently higher than for 'normal' pub grub, more high end restaurant. Property is comfortable with separate dining & lounge areas and three bedrooms, with two toilets (one in the family bathroom & one stand alone...both upstairs). There was a bottle of prosecco waiting for us in the fridge which was a nice touch & communications with the owner were excellent throughout. There are two stoves which were both ready to light, with well seasoned wood available for each. The WiFi is free & signal is good throughout the property. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped and there are plenty of cleaning materials & tea towels. There is room off road for two cars to park, one behind the other. Beds were comfy enough, but a bit on the soft side.

Unfortunately quite a few of the cups, plates & cutlery appeared to have been given a very cursory wash & had to be washed properly before using. Whilst spiders are more active this time of year, there were quite a few cobwebs, especially around the smaller windows, but the bathroom was nice & clean. The front garden is pretty, but does slope steeply and there is no back garden, so sitting outside of an evening isn't really an option for a group or young family. The twin bedroom is quite small & the second double is very small. The bad is hard up against the wall & the person on that side would have to climb over the person they were sharing the bed with, so not very practical. The 'master' bedroom does have a built-in shower, but no sink or toilet. The shower was fine, but there is nowhere to put any flannel, soap etc, so it has to go on the floor & the floor doesn't have a nonslip mat on it, so its a bit dangerous. All in all, just a few minor niggles, but worth bearing in mind when considering this cottage as an option.

The cottage was cosy and on the whole we enjoyed our stay, we enjoyed the little things like playing cards and the toys for the children..

Lovely cottage in beautiful location

Great location in the village and the pub was lovely for a drink and would hope to eat there in future. Toys for the children were a nice touch and were well-enjoyed.

The WIFI password didn’t work which is a big deal when signal is awful in the village. The double bed was two single beds pushed together which I think is poor and so it sagged and sloped to the middle. The pub below became extremely loud presumably when customers had left on the Saturday night as it is a quiet respectable pub. I believe the bedroom where I was staying with my 2 year old was above the kitchen where they decided to play incredibly loud music gone 22:00 presumably during their clean down but with guests above this is unacceptable especially when we have young children. The fridge facilities for ice and drinking water didn’t work properly.

Property was great being above a pub we weee able to get drinks and they were more than happy for us to take our order to the apartment to eat which was excellent, all in all a great weekend in a lovely apartment

Just a bit of an issue with the TV trying to get it to work
