Casa Papaya

The place was well organised and clean and pretty comfortably furnished. The hammock is a great feature. Being right on the shore means the sea feels very close although not accessible from the apartment. The local people are very helpful...

Booking.com didn't make it very clear a 50% deposit was required on booking. Hosts took a while to respond to messages. Difficulty finding the place despite directions. Locals I asked seemed to expect I would be met from the boat.The contact details I was given for help with luggage and tours were both unresponsive. There were cockroaches on the bed at night and it was quite airless - even given its position. It was low season and quite a few cafe/restaurants in the town were closed.

I loved it!

The location is exceptional - between the town and the beach, right above the water, view of the bay and the lagoon, birds and fish below. the apartment is fabulous - nice decor, clean and comfy, fun to cook and eat outdoors - it's open to the bay. The owner provides water and some basics like coffee and tea to start you off....absolutely loved this place - very private. Felt like the best spot in town.

Not one thing....it was perfect.

The view was amazing!

The water in the cooler tasted and smelled bad. The fire starter for the stove was dry. The ocean waves were beautiful but the noise of the crashing waves kept is up all night. Haha!
