It was a great place to stay I really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again

The cottage was amazing. As soon as we walked through the door it just felt so cozy and welcoming. The owner had put on the heating for us which was a lovely touch. We fell in love with the cottage immediately and knew we had made the right choice. There were so many thoughtful things done by the owner, for example, sachets of milk in the fridge and tea and coffee in the canisters. We had taken our own, but a lovely thought for those who dont. Also there were some chocolates! Lovely. It was all so lovely, very peaceful too, just what we needed.

I really loved this cottage and wanted to give 10 out of 10, I wanted to call it perfect, but, sadly I couldn't do this. It is a shame but it is something that is very easily put right. When we went to bed we found that the mattress was very springy, fine for one person but when two were in bed the slightest movement by one was felt by the other. We coped with this but for us the worst problem was the bedding itself. The bottom sheet was 'scratchy' and the duvet cover was clearly old and had been washed many times. It was very pretty but covered in lots of small bobbly bits which were uncomfortable against the skin when lying in bed. The bedding needs to be upgraded to a cotton type, not less than 400 thread count. This type of bedding is a good investment and washes well and lasts for a long time. This is what I use at home and have encountered in other holiday rentals too.

Very quiet location, very peaceful. The hosts were very extremely helpful when a small problem arose, we couldn't ask for more. The cottage had all the facilities you would expect and more.

Parking was a little tight, but it was off-road, secure and immediately outside the door, so was certainly not a problem.

Good quality fittings. Quiet location. Useful to have the ice maker as no freezer.

Bed was uncomfortable, gave us sore backs. No freezer so would have been good to have at least an icebox in the fridge so that we could freeze our ice packs and store ice cream. Limited parking and tight access.

The property was clean and the facilities were good. It was well laid out and the added little touches of an ice machine and cocktail making equipment were nice. It was comfortable and a lovely place to stay and be able to relax in. A great stay as a couple looking for a cosy cottage.

Good quiet location.

There was no back garden to sit in.
