The Secret Cottage - Morpeth

Very good central location for our purposes, very attractive and comfortable, good communication around issues that could be tricky such as parking in the centre of town.

Very little! Little things like pepper, a little washing up liquid would have been super helpful.

The location is brilliant, Morpeth is beautiful. Log burner so cosy and bath in bedroom lovely touch.

We had a problem with the tv remote which didn't work during our stay and did not get resolved. Found the host quite unhelpful. We struggled with the heating. It was snowing and minus temps when we stayed, and upstairs was very cold when you woke up in the morning and later at night. The mattress, bedding, and towels were very basic, not very luxurious, which is what I would expect from this type of property. The bed was very also very short, my husbands feet were sticking out at the end during the night & he's average height. Could do with some bedside lamps and some shelving in the toilet upstairs.

Location was great

That second room or broom cupboard was not an actual room. I'm insure how anyone over 1.5m can fit in that bed let alone sleep in it. Great if you want to experience what sleeping in a coffin may feel like.

Lovely little house, within walking distance to the very nice town centre. Cosy and clean. Welcome folder really helpful, especially with recommendations for places to eat. Instructions sent pre arrival were also helpful

Whilst there was a parking permit and instructions of where parking was available, it was tricky finding a spot with spaces to leave the car

Excellent location very cosy the bath was a particular highlight for me at the end of the day after a long walk . Excellent location for shops and cafes most dog friendly too !

Not enough space for clothes but not a massive problem as we were only staying the weekend

Location, location, location What a find, really comfortable cottage with everything you would need for break away. I was here viewing property and the location is superb. Out through the gates and turn right for all shops . Lovely high street and market on Wednesday. It will be my go to place to visit when I come up here to live 🙂

Excellent location to the town, very clean and modern inside would recommend

Struggled with the bed length been over 6ft 3” Clock bells on the Main Street go off every 15 minutes during the night which can’t be helped but affected sleep, Struggled to find the house as it’s tucked away with no car access

The bath is great very clean staff helpful

Parking sounds confusing but plenty of parking at long stay with in walk distance

We loved the decor of the property and we also loved the location! It’s a very little walk to shops and the lovely park too! And of course the lovely bath in the bathroom.

I wouldn’t recommend it if you have toddlers but for older children it’s great! Other than that it was great.

Location was great, right in the middle of Morpeth . Kitchen was well equipped.

The bedrooms! The master bedroom was awkward to walk round due to the bath in the bedroom, which was on a raised platform. The mattress was not comfortable and the pillows were cheap and needed replacing . No storage either, ok for a couple of nights but if staying a week nowhere to put clothing. There were 2 rusty nails sticking out under the wall mounted tv too ! No switch to turn of lights by the bed too you had to get out of bed and negotiate the raised plinth getting back into bed in the dark The bunk room was very cramped , my son who is over 6 foot tall didn’t have a comfortable stay at all . He couldn’t sit up to read and, again, no storage. No light over bed either. Parking was a bit of a hassle too.
