Great location, lovely views and great hosts

The service and the location

Robins Nest is one of the nicest holiday lets we have stayed in. It is situated at the top end of a quiet street with distant views of the sea and - with a car - you are very well placed to explore everywhere around Russell. There are beautiful walks from the doorstep, including a lovely nature trail into Russell itself. The accommodation is perfect for 4 people, with two good-sized and extremely comfortable bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a large open-plan kitchen / diner / sitting room. The whole place is freshly decorated and very comfortably furnished. We really couldn't fault it and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay for our short visit to this beautiful part of New Zealand. We should also say that Sharon and Paul are perfect hosts: communication in advance was easy and helpful, they made us feel welcome and gave us useful advice while remaining discreetly in the background.

Nothing could have been better: it was absolutely ideal!

The location and view are amasing a quick stroll down the hill to a swimming beach and little rocky walks with stunning clear water.its very clean and delightful.just a quick drive over the hill to russel.some great local bush walks.

The set up is a great place to unwind and relax. It has everything you need, including a coffee machine. It is only a short walk to 2 bays, one for playing or relaxing in the sand/swimming, and the other stony for exploring rockpools and potentially snorkeling.

It has a very steep driveway, which you need to reverse down if you drive your car up. We decided to park on the road and carry our bags. Lucky we didn't have a lot, so potentially not that suitable with those with very young kids, or the less able bodied.
