Barfad Self Catering Holiday Cottages

I imagine this would be much better in the summer. It’s nice to have a full laundry room - it’s needed with all the mud. A short walk into the village.

Mud, everywhere. Couldn’t keep it out. The beds are cheap and the mattresses are thin. We had to put one mattress on the floor to try to get some comfort. The towels are thin and several of them were smelly. The shower in the larger cottage was either scalding or freezing. We couldn’t let the children use it. There were several lights in the larger cottage that didn’t work. The shower in the smaller cottage kept its temperature, but was tiny and the room was very cold. The village only had x1 pub that let the children and dogs in and x1 place to eat (the takeaway) the other places wouldn’t let us in either with children or dogs and the rest were closed. The WiFi was very slow. We couldn’t email the host about the issues, as I tried to send a message through booking.com saying we weren’t staying so the cottages could be re-advertised. I ended up replying to a text message she sent when we cancelled the booking. We stayed x1 night although we had booked x8. I have asked for a partial refund, but have had no reply.

Lovely stay at the dairy cottage. Great place, great location. Highly recommended.
