Grade II Listed Cottage in Central Taunton

Dirty windows, smelly dishwasher, poor quality utensils, strange shower

Two large comfy beds with lots of supplied towels Lovely spacious sitting room with comfy seating and big TV. Functional kitchen with all facilities Superb location near cricket ground. It’s a nice area of Taunton. Courtyard garden

No downstairs toilet. Steep stairs with vertical handrail so I needed great care, but I am 72 so it’s not a problem for the young. Would have been so much better if there was a person to meet and greet. No early check in was allowed and communication was limited to message system on Booking.com

Great location for a weekend stay for adult children! Very comfortable and well equipped cottage.

The shower could have been better (wasn't very powerful) and being central, it was sometimes noisy during the night

The decoration style and furnishings were very attractive and comfortable. The lounge and kitchen were especially nice and exactly as they appear in the photos. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped. The arrangement of the bedrooms upstairs was a little unusual. One bedroom doesn’t have a proper wall and you walk past a screen to get to the bedroom that is fully enclosed. It’s fine if you are not worried about both rooms having privacy. The bathroom is small but fine. The host instructions for access and use of the property were clear and comprehensive and the property managers were very responsive. We stayed in winter and it was really cosy. Location is excellent — close to town but still quiet at night.

The windows can’t be opened and there is no ventilation so the upstairs was a bit airless.

Location was brilliant, accommodation was even nicer than expected, very private, even though it was in the centre of town Cosy,clean, comfortable, with quality fixtures, fittings and utensils.

There was nothing to dislike.

We loved the location.

Toilet handle was broken so we had to open/ use the cistern to flush. Bare electrical wiring on the lounge light. Returned to the house to find kitchen floor totally flooded.Reported this to the emergency contact and eventually a plumber came out. We desperately tried to mop up the wster but as quick as were mopping , the wayer kept coming. However, the plumber could not rectify the problem as it appeared to be an old water mains pipe underneath the property that was causing the flood. We were there for a family birthday and were supposed to be hosting a meal but instead we had to book a restaurant. Very disappointing trip!
