"Lovely sea village stay"

8.0

Lovely location and a nice property to stay in.

Access is very tight, so had to park away from property to load in luggage etc, however this wasn’t the end of the world.

"Great location, fabulous quirky old cottage."

7.0

Fabulous location . Super clean bedding. Would book again. It was really close to beach of the estuary (good fun , clean & close to eating & drinking place, fab little fishing boats etc & Teignmouth view from the beach and all on a level 1-2 minute walk from the cottage. )Also in walking distance of beach to the sea up the hill and down through the tunnel. Near lovely village facilities - pubs, eating, bakery, butchers, general store. The little zoo is fabulous & imo worth the ££ to get in.& to support it. We parked in the short stay car park near the primary school which meant a nice level walk to the cottage of approx. 10 minutes. More parking in a huge park up the hill. All good.

"Unfortunately it did not meet expectations."

5.0

The location was perfect.

The property was only moderately cleaned, there was an awful lot of clutter. There was food left in the freezer from a previous family and clothes had been left in a chest of drawers. One of the bunk beds was broken. A rail on the balcony area was not securely fixed so it rocked when pushed which made the area unsafe for children. The casing around a plug socket in the bunkbed room was broken. The details do not explain that a steep loft style ladder with no rail is used to access the second floor, this is only reported in reviews from guests.

"Hidden Gem"

10.0

Lovely cottage with fantastic facilities and one of the best locations in Shaldon. Had a really home from home feel, and we all felt very comfortable and had excellent sleep! Everything you'd need including dishwasher, washing machine etc. The host was really helpful too and felt like it was easy to get in touch. I almost didn't want to share how great it was as feel like it's a new secret hideaway!

Careful on the ladder stairs to the top floor if your knees are a bit dodgy or have little ones stick to the middle floor!

"Passable"

5.0

Location was excellent - close to beach and cafe. The owner couldn't have been more helpful.

It wasn't clean and needs to be modernised throughout. We had to wash the crockery and cutlery by hand as it was dirty. The steps to the top floor were dangerous and a big worry with children. Water dripping into the kitchen from roof leak that had been there for some time.

"Sea side cottage with a difference."

10.0

Great cottage well appointed lovley location very comfortable.

We knew parking would be an issue due to its location. So as we were staying a while I bought a weeks parking permit for the Ness long stay car park near bye.
