Forest Heath Shepherd's Huts

The huts are so authentic looking on the outside but with all the modern comforts inside. Well maintained, as described and exactly the escape away we needed. We couldn't stay long, but enjoyed every second taking in the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. A huge thank you to the host.

Somewhere different to stay.

Lack of shelf in the bathroom. Lack of door mat making floor wet when it rains. No hand rail on the entrance steps..

Goed bed, mooie bosrijke omgeving, rustig, privacy.

De ruimte is krap.

Staying in a Shepherd's Hut is a different experience. It feels like one is camping and yet it provides the comforts of a hotel room. The bed is excellent. The bathroom/shower is excellent. Cooking facilities are small but very good. Everything is just cosy, cosy, cosy.

The only negative is that there was not a frying pan available. Petty but there are no other aspects I didn't like.

The property was exceptional!!! Do not judge a book by its cover comes to mind!! When we were walking to it I was a bit hesistant but honestly this place does not disappoint!!! Its such a little gem!! Its so quiet, peaceful and beautiful and literally opposite Moores valley country park!! We cannot sing the praises high enough! Its perfectly formed and the host left us chocolate and cards, domino's and a bit of milk for tea and coffee. We've stayed in a few places, this is well worth the money and the host was incredible and so helpful. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND and its a lot better for comfort, cost, cleanest and everything compared to any standard hotel etc. Please stay here if you're in the area!! Its even deceptively warm!! I thought we'd be a little chilly, no concerns with that! 🤣🥰 Even the WiFi was great speed and lots of sockets!

The one thing I would say is parking, its perfect instructions when given but we got confused with the bollard/cone and garage door!! Maybe use what 3 words so that people do not feel they block the garage (we realised it does not open!) Other from that no problems. It is hit and miss with phone signal but that's expected for such a rural area so just be aware!

Perfect for our stay, all amenities you need. Good location.

We would like to see a coat hook on the lounge side of the bathroom door to hang coats Shower gel or such like in bathroom. A sign at the entrance to the drive saying Forest Heath Shepherds huts. Otherwise everything was fine.
