Lynwood - Victorian Home in the Peak District

Location was perfect for our stay. Also plenty of room in the house being there was 8 of us . The fact there was 4 bathrooms was a bonus too. Even though we bought everything with us. I.e cleaning bits, cupboard bits , sauces , pickles etc the host had already filled cupboards with everything we needed .

Nothing really not to like . We picked this house as it met our needs . And it did

Plenty of room, very well equipped, great supply of essentials including some welcome treats. Beds good. Plenty of hot water and easy to control the heating. Parking good. Wjfi worked very well.Good communications.

We had an excellent weekend for a family 70th birthday. Lovely welcoming house, clean and well prepared. The four bathrooms were lovely for three families together. Information and support from the owner was very detailed and very useful. Quick responses. The provision of basic foods, cleaning materials and toiletries was very generous. Bakewell centre is 5 minutes walking walking and numerous walks from the door .

Nothing really caused us any problem. We had visitors to eat and there was plenty of provision of pottery and glasses. We did not really struggle with anything.

Fantastic place for a big family holiday. Right in the centre of Bakewell, 5 minutes for pubs and shops. Plenty of extra towels, bedding and toiletries if needed.

Spacious, peaceful, clean, warm and comfortable house. Suitable for our teenagers right up to our elderly 80yr old parents. Host Ben has thought of everything. Excellent communication and always contactable should you need him.

Absolutely nothing. Could have sat on the chair, looking out of the bedroom window forever.

Bakewell and the amenities there were a 5 minute walk from the property. Yet the property is in a very quiet street with no passing traffic. There was parking on the drive for three cars which is valuable in Bakewell as it can be busy. All the bedrooms are of a good size, as are the two sitting rooms, dining room and kitchen. Good wi-fi provision.

Perfect location, great house for a big family. Host was very friendly and amenable. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay

Minor addition would have been a whisk. I made a Pavlova but but couldn’t find a whisk. As I say very minor but would’ve been useful

The location is perfect. Bakewell is a lovely little town with many interesting shops. It is also close to fantastic walking country both in the Dark and White Peak.

The heating in the dining room didn't seem to work properly which was a shame since we spent a fair amount of time in there.
