Lynwood - Victorian Home in the Peak District

We provided and prepared our own.

We were 4 couples, meeting up for a long weekend. Really lovely house. People often use the phrase home from home but this really was. Ben, the host, was responsive and helpful. We arrived in 4 cars and were able to get 3 of them on the drive and one in the garage which was very handy as we didn't use them during our stay. It's a short walk into town. We ate 3 excellent meals in restaurants close by. One day we did a circular walk from the house with a drink at the Bull half way and on another used the hop on/hop off bus to see Chatsworth and take an adventurous walk back :) We didn't use most of the facilities as we were out most of the time but everything was there if we'd just wanted to hole up.

Large character property with lots of room for a family of 10. Two lovely sitting rooms to relax in. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable. This was a dog friendly property but spotlessly clean.

The only small issue was that the hot water ran out. We had allocated specific bathrooms to family groups so the hot water running out meant that some of us had to use the electric showers in each other bathrooms. Also had to boil water to have a shave so not ideal for a luxury property. The owner had advised this May happen so appreciated that.
