Three friends had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and were very impressed at how well-equipped the cottage is, including kitchen equipment, toiletries, and storage space. Good hot shower, comfortable beds and plenty of lounge space to relax in. It was very peaceful, with a pub with stunning views just a few minutes walk away. Great instructions so it was easy to find, and it was soo convenient for Bakewell and other local activities.

The kitchen tap seems to operate the wrong way, not intuitive. The lounge is a bit dark given the small windows, which is a shame on a sunny day - but the style of window is also part of it being a characterful place. Just be aware the two upstairs single rooms have a slanted roof so it's easy to bump your head if you're not paying attention!

Really outstanding stay in a lovely cottage with such attention to detail in a great location.

Only snag was keeping the floor dry in the en-suite bathroom but not a major problem

Comfortable and warm cosy luxery weekend, beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Very attentive and kind host, loved the little touches such as the welcome hamper and bottle of bubbly 🙂

Having to leave - we could have stayed longer!

A real wood burner would make it.
