Juniper Cottage

Lovely and cosy, exceptionally clean and tidy. It felt really homely with absolutely everything you could need and the welcome basket is a lovely touch. The size of the living area was a nice surprise, lots of space and a real home from home. Our 11 year old loved her cosy room in the eaves and it was so quiet we all slept like logs even the baby. The explanations and instructions for finding the place were clear and detailed and the photos of the entrance etc much appreciated. Great location for visiting the surrounding area.

The parking is under a tree and my partner didn’t appreciate the bird’s artwork on his new car haha. But that didn’t detract from the overall stay at all.

The house is exceptionally well designed. Every commodity you could hope for. Comfortable and stylish. The hamper is a nice touch. Fabulous location and lovely local pub. Quiet and calm. It's a real gem of a cottage.

Upstairs bedrooms were incredibly warm on the first night. I had to park my car under a tree in the designated parking area. It was completely covered in bird poo the next day, never seen anything like it.

Jane was super organised and helpful, sending in-depth instructions and also lovely messages to see how we were settling in. The welcome hamper was very generous, and the cottage was very well appointed with loads of thoughtful touches. Very peaceful, good location for delights of Derbyshire. Lovely seating area outside for breakfast, and it is good to have a designated parking bay. The cottage worked really well for myself and a friend with having an ensuite and separate bathroom. Really spacious living space with lots of comfortable seating. It was really clean, and we felt totally at home. Many thanks 😊

It was incredibly hot this weekend, and it might have helped to close the blinds upstairs to keep the main heat of the day out of the two rooms upstairs as it was quite stifling when we arrived. (Appreciate you can't control the weather) Also, having a designated parking space is fab, especially as it's under a tree for shade. However, my car was completely covered in Bird Muck by the next morning, so perhaps a suggestion to other guests to bring a car cover if they are staying at this time of year. This, it is just a minor point, but forewarned is forearmed.
