Skye Coorie Cabin

The cabin had a lovely outlook to some water and distant mountain views. We appreciated the fresh eggs provided. Overall a very pleasant stay. Lori gave us some good suggestions for Skye.

No problems but be aware the road into the property is narrow.

On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack for having a cuppa before unloading our belongings. The addition of fresh eggs provided by the family’s hens made for a scrumptious breakfast. It was quite stunning, beautifully made up with everything you would need for your stay and an incredibly helpful guest guide folder. The contact from the host prior to arriving was spot on - thank you!

We have left genuinely saddened that we aren’t staying longer, Skye Coorie gives everything it promises and more

Everything was perfect

The views from the cabin are exceptional- mountains, water, wading birds- it's incredibly beautiful. For us, also beneficial as the north-facing view was perfect for watching Northern Lights. The cabin is very comfortable and cosy- the mattress is one of the best we've slept on, and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the furnishings. It really felt like a home from home. Lori met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful; she definitely goes above and beyond as a host. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from her hens, and the rare but lovely sightings of her beautiful cats. Skye, of course, is a stunning island- this trip, we spent long days out sightseeing and the only downside was that this time out on the road and in the hills meant our time at the cabin was limited. We'd love to return again, perhaps in winter, to spend more time appreciating the cabin and the immediate area- it's a very special place, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Congratulations to Lori for getting everything just right- please don't change a thing!

Sad to leave

Lori is such a kind and fantastic host - she always makes herself available if you need something but gives you space to enjoy your stay. The cabin was fantastic, really spacious and had everything you need eg. fully equipped kitchen, folders with recommendations, lovely outdoor space, nice bathroom/bedroom/living areas. Much better equipped and spacious than the more common ‘pod’ accommodation. The location is great for those who have travelled to get to Skye (we came from Inverness) as it’s just as you get over the bridge in amongst the beauty of the island and about an hour to get to the sights on the north of the island. There’s a fantastic coffee shop (Lean To coffee) just up the road which we dropped by in the morning and restaurants/shops just up the road in Broadford. We saw the northern lights in the evening from outside in the garden and there is lots of wildlife around.

Everything was amazing Lori was amazing and all you had to was ask
