Monte Chabouco - Alojamento Local

The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice location as we don't like busy places. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of a rooster crowing and not traffic noises.

Beautifully situated in Chabouco near Aljezur and Bordeira. Lovely host family. You can start hiking or just take a walk directly from the house. The restaurant Shabouco ist just a few minutes down the hill, it's highly recommended. In my case it was still closed unfortunately as I travelled off season.

The place is amazing, we loved the house and it had all the essentials you could need. The inside is great, staying in the countryside was amazing. Every room was comfortable and well equipped. The beach is very close, especially one that was not full of people like other ones more in the south. We really enjoy the calm, staying far from the city, and with a car you can reach easily every place in Algarve.

The only bad thing was that there were ants in the kitchen. It is normal that in the countryside yhere are insects, but on the second day the bin was full of them, they were on every surfaces, even if we saved all the food inside the fridge. It would be nice to do something to solve the problem, because after two days like that it was a little bit annoying.

It is a little remote from the town and beaches but we knew what to expect. It provided a good base to explore the Western coastline and the towns of the Algarve to the south (Sagres, Lagos. Carvoeiro).

There was an infestation of ants in all rooms which were a nuisance. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped but should include a kettle and some wine glasses. The host provided glasses on request.
