La Finestra sul Mare dello Zingaro

A fantastic stay and an excellent host! Vincenzo was super helpful, very warm and friendly, and gave us great tips throughout our visit. The apartment was lovely, the location perfect, and their bakery had amazing sandwiches. Truly an outstanding host!

For the standard of this type of rental, some cleaning and hospitality products are clearly missing. Some coffee, tea, sugar and a suitable coffee maker wouldn't go amiss, as well as soap in the bathrooms or dishwashing supplies. Keeping in mind that the nearest supermarket is only a 40-minute walk away.

Great location, great host, clean, quiet and close to absolute everything. Highly recommend. Vincenzo was a great host, and eaven helped us at the beginning of our arrival in Sicily when our car rental (a different company) ended up being a scam, he came with his son to pick us up eaven tho it was quiet late. Later we rented a Fiat Panda from him, highly recommend the car as well :)

We stayed 9 nights in the upper apartment. It was the best possible stay!. The view is just breathtaking. The apartment has a panorama window with view on the sea. Further more there is a big private terrace where you have again the best view on the ocean in the one hand and the mountain on the other hand. The appartment itself is well equiped, clean and cozy. The host Vincente is very friendly. We loved our stay in Scopello with friendly people, the lovely beaches nearby and the zingaro reserve!

A terrace with magnificent view, a good privacy feeling. The house has several apartments, each of them has private entrance, and our terrace was shared only with one additional apartment. It was possible to have windows opened on the opposite sides of the apartment, so that we could always get a nice airflow, and we didn't need to use air conditioning even though it was never below 24 degrees in the night. Because there were two floors above our apartment, it was never getting very hot in the evening. Location is amazing, we visited several beaches (Calas) in the area of 2km, and also went to the beaches of Riserva naturale Zingaro. Remember to take lots of water with you as only one of the beaches has a small bar. The Pane Cunzatu nearby offers delicious local food with bread, tomatoes and mozzarella, as well as sfincione and arancini. They have a fridge with water as well. For a change we went to Ristorante Bar Nettuno once and had a very good pasta con vongole there. Also the bar in the center offers a nice variety of drinks and sweets, including orange fresh! Unfortunately the place is not accessible with public transport, so we had to order a shuttle from the airport. You can also ask the host for the recommendations in this regard.

The main bed wasn't very comfy - it was too soft and not 'breathing'. Two additional beds in the big room were much better, but we didn't bother to move to them. There was no electric kettle, so if it is important to you - try asking for it beforehand, the host is a very good man and I am sure he will be able to fulfill your request. In our case we spent 20 minutes making our turkish coffee (a.k.a greek coffee in the 'briki') on the gas stove, while usually it takes up to 10 minutes on the electric stove. Also since we slept with windows open, we suffered from mosquitoes.

Lovely place with fantastic views on the sea. The owner - Vincenzo - and his family are incredibly welcoming and bake the best bread and sfinzione at their bakery.

There's no heating in the house. It wasn't promised either but it might be important to understand that it may get cold at night when you're visiting Scopello in spring as we did.
