Attractive 2 bed cottage in Hempton Fakenham

We love this little cottage in Hempton. It is tucked away in a hamlet and yet near to the rural market town of Fakenham. Clean, comfortable and cosy. It is lovely and warm with plenty of hot water. The kitchen is well equipt and Jason the host makes the stay hassle free providing essentials, tea coffee, condiments etc along with clear instructions for the use of the property. This cottage is ideal for two although there is a small second bedroom for an older child or third adult. The position in a small row behind other cottages is quirky and we love that there are so many local walks and places of interest so close by. We were able to park the car and forget it for days we were there enjoying the weekly market, the pubs and river paths all within walking distance. Our days in the cottage were very relaxing. Jason is a splendid host. We are be happy to recommend it and will not hesitate to return.

We love this cottage for its cosiness, its comfort and its position in a hamlet on the edge of town. It has everything you may need for a relaxing stay and a thoughtful host. The cottage is clean and tidy and even has a table and chairs in the tiny gravel yard outside. This cottage is ideal for those who want to potter about a local area or for those who wish to use it for a base to visit the coast, the many towns and places of interest that Norfolk has to offer.

Da wir erst nachts die Unterkunft erreicht haben, war es für uns sehr praktisch, dass wir den Schlüssel über die Keybox erhalten haben. So hat man kein Zeitdruck einzuchecken. Das Cottage ist sehr urrig und hat alles was man benötigt. Alles war sauber und genügend Geschirr zum Kochen ist auch vorhanden.

Die Treppe zu den Schlafzimmern und dem Bad ist sehr steil. Das Bad war sehr klein und leider ist das Cottage sehr hellhörig, sodass man sehr arg die Nachbarn hört.

Great location for exploring Norfolk, had everything we needed.

Lovely little cottage in a very quiet location and spotlessly clean on arrival. The owners were very informative about checking in and out and sent clear instructions, and I am sure if there were any issues, they would rectify them immediately. Lovely pub just round the corner and a 5 minute walk into the town centre. Really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend and would return again. 😊

Only criticism would be it is very small, but we obviously knew that when we booked it and didn't bother us but might some people, the stairs are also steep, just something to consider if you have any mobility issues.

Perfect for our weekend stay. Excellent communication from owner. Everything we needed was provided.

Comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, fantastic location

The front garden is a walkway to next door’s property so you need to check the gates are shut before letting the dog out - not a huge issue but also need to make sure you remember!!

Very cosy but fine for 2 people, no more. Steep and narrow stairs. We kept the bathroom light on at night in case we fell down them as directly across from the double bedroom. Bathroom could do with being updated and shower door changed to a bi-fold as very narrow Location was quiet but spoilt by the neighbours next door at the end terraced house. Paper thin walls meant we could hear their children playing very early in the mornings.

Bed was very comfortable. Bath sheets felt like new. Coffee machine provided.

There was no designated parking space, and I wasn't aware that parking wasn't 'on site' but on the edge of the green. In the welcome pack, the last 2 digits on the WiFi network are incorrect! Welcome pack could do with more information regarding recycling as different counties recycle different things. The shower cubicle is a good size but you need to be very slim to fit through the door opening comfortably. The majority of places also provide hand towels as well as a bath sheet. Info pack said that beach towels were available in the boiler cupboard. There was only one.
