The Hideaway

The cottage was cosy and quaint. We loved the natural stone features and fireplace. Perfect for a small get away. The host was also extremely welcoming and easy to contact.

Very clean and cosy. Woodburner makes the cottage comfortably warm. Bedding and bed top quality and very comfortable. Everything we needed for a great stay.

There was nothing we didn't like. A table top mirror in the bedroom for hair, make up etc. would be useful.

The location is so peaceful and the hideaway is not visible from the road, so feels really private. The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful, decorated so tastefully, with comfortable furnishings and feels very cosy. I would absolutely book again next time I’m down visiting family.

Not a criticism, more a suggestion - the bedroom could do with a long mirror next to the sockets on the side wall so that those who use a hairdryer etc, can do so without stretching above the bed.

Beautiful accommodation the name says it all. If you like old-world look then look nowhere else. Superbly done everywhere you look. Very comfortable yet left as was all those years ago, magnificently mixed with mod cons when you need eg cooker, kettle, internet, shower

What a beautiful little cottage, full of quirky details! The fire was awesome and the courtyard garden beautiful. It was a perfect cosy hideout for a few days of peace and quiet 💙
