The Hideaway

Gorgeous little place, very historic, nice woodburner and suitably equipt.

Cold! Weather was unusually cold, and it took quite a while for the woodburner to warm things.

Quirky, very old stone built accomodation which has been very tastefully modernised. Its in a lovely peacefull location and was perfect for visiting family in Helston.

Although we used the log burner it was still pretty chilly and we had to sleep in our dressing gowns.

The Hideaway is a great place to stay and has a homely and comfy feeling about it. The fire is a great feature especially as we stayed late October. It's a home away from home with everything you need. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.

Whilst the stone floor is a nice feature it can make the place feel cold.

The detail and effortless style of the property and the rustic charm and authenticity of an historic farm cottage. The bed was possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The quiet location, inland from the coast, was great for visiting the whole of South Cornwall...I managed to see much of the area in 3 days riding my motorbike (so much easier than a car to access the tiny coves), but wished I had booked a week! Falmouth was very nearby for essentials. Oliver was welcoming and helpful.

Perhaps a new washing up sponge would have been nice and a roll of toilet paper. A quarter of a roll was left from before and didn't last very long. I chose not to spoil the arrangement of 'designer' toilet rolls on the bathroom windowsill! The uneven parking area in front of the main house was a little tricky on a motorbike.

The beautifully renovated old cottage was completely charming. Every detail had been considered, and we even got to make a fire in the old hearth. Oliver, our host was extremely helpful. Can’t recommended enough!.

We hated having to leave

Very cosy property with so much character. Had everything we needed. We loved the wood-burner.
