Elje Villa

We had a bathroom outside the room and here it was really hot without any aircondition. The same regarding the shared room. Our bedroom was fine. We would have liked an introduction to the area. We had dinner at the house twice and it was really good. Can highly recommend this. We didn’t rent bikes at the place. If you don’t like dogs, this is not the place for you, because two dogs were living at the porch.

Great location. Huge air conditioned room with huge bathroom . Clean and with all facilities. Shared kitchen was fully equipped and the owner was very friendly. Great place to stay in La Digue.

The owner was friendly and helpful. They clean the room daily. The breakfast was cooked daily + fruits. Quiet local street. In order to see some nice beaches you would rather need a bike. I would stay there again.

One could rent a bike from them, but the bike was not well maintained, gear shifting was not possible. The private bathroom was outside the room, a little uncomfortable.

Elje exceeded our expectations. She was a wonderful host and the property was super nice - big room, bathroom was huge, great location, super clean, breakfast was perfect. All I can say is that you will definitely get your moneys worth here! Really can’t find anything to fault.

I loved absolutely everything! It is a real gem, do not hesitate to stay there. The whole villa, garden, tarrace, room and the bathroom are very clean, well taken care of and there is a very pleasant scent inside. The room is great to rest after the whole day of exploring beautiful La Digue, it is very quiet and the bed is super comfortable. Sheryl who works there, welcomed me very kindly with a tasty fruit welcome drink. The breakfast was sooo delicious, nutritious and served on the tarrace just outside of my room, it was such a good way to start a day. The location is just perfect- it is peaceful, quiet, surrounded by nature by yet very close to everything and there is a shop nearby. And Elna's food tastes so good! It is local, fresh and aromatic. I am truly thankful for all the hospitality and kindness, especially with the help and support of Elna on my last day- I had an accident on the bike and got injured so I could barely walk; when the car brought me from the hospital Elna offered her shoulder to help me to get back to the room, then brought ice, bandage and ointment. She also gave me a few bottles of water, as I was not able to make it to the shop that night and the next day and offered some of her amazing sea food curry complimentary. And she offered me a late check-out so I could stay in the room until the time of my ferry back to Mahè and arrange a transportation to the port. It is really exceptional place with exceptional staff. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to La Digue.

There is not even one thing to dislike.

Ideal villa for a group of friends or a large family located in a side street, large rooms and each with bathroom (in each room refrigerator). Living room with a very well equipped kitchen. Outside two large and one small table. Washing machine available. Delicious breakfasts served according to guests requests. Elna is a very helpful owner, she arranged for us bikes and a taxi to the port. Every day she asked if everything is ok or anything is needed.. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Elje Villa. Eleanor is very welcoming, helped us with everything, waited for us with fresh fruit juice and is a very good cook. Room and bathroom are very big and comfortable, shower is very good. Everything was clean and comfy. You can rent bikes at the property, what is very helpful. Breakfast is good and Eleanor asked us at what time we wanted it, what is also very convenient. It is possible to pay with card, what is rare in La Digue and this was very convenient too. We also had dinner there. The prices are better than in the restaurants and the food very yummy. On the day we left, our ferry was only at 2 pm, but we could leave our bags there and use the bikes all morning. We would definetely stay here again, thanks for everything!
