Perfect homestay with great location for a calm and peaceful holiday. The living room is overlooking to the lake. It’s a perfect holiday house for a scenic quiet retreat away from the city.

Everything was ok personally and the host was quick to respond with anything we needed.

Nice little cottage / good location for walks.

Quite a few things that were disappointing. All the kitchenware we had to wash before using as it was dirty. 90% of the cups and glasses were plastic wine glasses. No dishwasher. Cutlery was really Grimey and odd / old. Not one sharp knife. Sent a message to owner regarding this. He said he would get them sharpened… they need replacing really old cheap tacky equipment. Floppy tired chopping boards. Shower doesn’t get hot for more than a few seconds. 3-4 logs when you have a burner is also disappointing. Lots of large broken bits of paving slabs scattered around the drive which when driving a brand new hire car we felt they may damage the car so moved them. Garden / yard needs tidying like the rest of the house needed some love. The view of the garden let down the view. The whole place has so much potential but is let down by someone refusing to spend a little to make it somewhere you would reccomended and return to. At £170 a night for two people it’s over priced and grimey. A dishwasher would be £200 and some new kitchen ware could be probs picked up for free online or new for very little at a large super market.

Very good location, close to a lake, and the view is surrounded by hills. Love the comfortable beds, living room with fireplace... I would like to be back again next holiday. The only thing that has to be done is the property gate and the pavement.

The location and area was superb and the cottage's owners were extremely helpful. The walking from the doorstep was outstanding with many excellent routes.
