Historic converted byre in courtyard of 16C house

Everything was perfect. We we particularly impressed by the very high standard of the accommodation; the quality of the barn conversion and its facilities; and the care and forethought of Richard and Jen, the owners/hosts.

Some guests may find the location a bit remote but for us it was what we wanted. We were very happy to be in a rural environment with wonderful birdlife. We were easily able too get to all the places of interest we wished to visit despite the need to drive on many narrow roads - which is the norm in much of the Lake District.

Jen met us at the door with a warm smile, and we were blown away but her magnificent gardens - Jen was very generous with her time and knowledge, giving me a tour on request around her beautiful gardens.

Everything was perfect. The hosts, Jen and Richard, made us feel very welcome. Jen had baked delicious cakes for our arrival. The gardens are very pretty and the views are stunning. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and warm. The location for visiting the Lakes is excellent, with plenty to see and so close by. The whole property is a joy to stay in and is by far the nicest property we have booked for a stay in the U.K. You will not regret booking.

The most beautiful setting, they had everything you need. We went with our 2 boys aged 4 and 2 and we all had the best time.
