Great location, spacious yet cosy interior. Beautiful, private terrace and garden. Wonderful host.

It’s good to know that the bedrooms are only accessible via a spiral staircase and certainly the top floor master bedroom is not reachable for elderly/ individuals with limited mobility. Otherwise the facilities are absolutely top!

Property worthy of its 5 star rating. A large Tesco within 5 minutes walk is convenient

Fakenham town centre is rather rundown with nowhere I would consider eating or drinking in.

Lena was a great host and greeted us on arrival at her beautiful property. We were left milk, coffee/tea and cake and other essentials in the cupboards, which were most welcome. When we had an issue with something in the kitchen which was broken, it was dealt with and replaced straight away. There was a lovely private garden, although we didn't have the weather to enjoy it unfortunately, but the fresh flowers on the kitchen table were a nice touch and brought the garden inside. Fakenham is well situated for visiting the area.

We had a lot of wet weather so could have done with a few board games. (Apologies to Lena if there were any that we didn't find). We trawled the local charity shops and eventually found ourselves a Scrabble set.

Everything worked

We were warned beforehand but the stairs were tricky and you wouldn't want to leave anything upstairs and have to go back!

A lovely property, in a good location giving a base to explore Norfolk and the coast. The host Lena, is lovely and communicated very well in advance and looked after us during our stay. We were even met with a welcoming cake and milk in the fridge and they offered to come a get the fire started should we need. There is absolutely everything you could ever need in the kitchen, bathrooms and showers. Enough parking for three cars and a lovely secluded garden.

The only reason for not quite giving 10's all round is the lounge furniture. While it looks lovely, with some beautiful character, we found it a little uncomfortable to while the night away over a glass of wine or two. The stairs are clearly mentioned in the description, are indeed a challenge, so we were glad we only had small cases.

Great location, very comfortable and well equipped. Really nice secluded garden and safe parking for motorcycles. Great for a group/family gathering to use outside space, large dining table or comfy sofas. Good communication and welcome from host.
