Kingsview Apartment

The area and accommodation we excellent - easy walk to Stirling castle and town, with park over the road from the accommodation.

Some instruction at the home were different to the instructions from Sterling Self Catering Ltd and instructions for the cooker could be made simpler - but this could be us and being tired - Ha!

Location, comfort and cleanliness

No problems

Location is excellent. Heating is fantastic and there is an abundance of hot water. The property has all of the dishes and amenities etc you need for a long stay.

When it rained, the rainwater ran down the inside of the main door. This caused the door to swell which made it difficult to close and lock. The outside lights didn’t work which is incredibly dangerous in a dark Scottish winter. The beds need replacing as both the mattresses and bases are worn. There is an overwhelming smell of damp in the second bathroom. The towels were like sandpaper - felt like a microdermabrasion everyday. We spoke to the owner about the rain, the damp smell and the lights and he didn’t seem to be too concerned. I’m still waiting for the lettings agent to get back to me as well.

Location as it’s only one hour to Nabor sites and cities. Beautiful area. Could walk to Stirling castle and surrounds. Also the washer and dryer were great. Warm and cosy.

Stripping of beds.

No soap dishes or towel rings in shower. A vacuum cleaner would have been appreciated.

Location

Some maintenance issues - minor things like cookware with loose handles, only one tea towel. But only minor things.

The location was perfect, quiet and close to local shops and attractions. The living room was large and comfortable.

No complaints!

Great accommodations in a very convenient location. Walking distance to shops/stores in Stirling, plus the Park Church on the way very welcoming too! All in all, highly recommend!

We liked everything - Two small items to make things even better - the owner's manual we found for the oven seemed to be for a previous model (so that was a touch confusing but we were able to figure it out anyway). There are multiple copies of the check-out instructions, and not all are the same (some say use provided bags for the laundry and open the windows), some say put laundry in trash bags, some say put the laundry in the bath(tub)? Again, no big deal, but making sure those items are consistent and up to date would probably help others.
