Effies House

Geräumige Wohnung mit tollem Blick. Von der Terrasse kan man herrliche Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Wir wurden mit Wein, Obst, traditionellem Ouzobrot und vielem mehr begrüßt. Kleanthis hat sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert und in allen Belangen geholfen (z.B. bei der Anmietung eines günstigen Autos). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Kleanthis is a great host that does everything to please his customers. The apartment is well furnished and has all the comforts! The views are unbeatable as well as the vicinity to the beach.

Maybe a few more kitchen utensils like additional frying pans

Eine wunderbare Lage, ruhig, mit Aufgang zum Strand. Supermärkte in der Nähe und zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Terrasse und der Blick auf das Meer sind unglaublich schön. Der Wirt ist sehr bemüht und ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir werden in jedem Fall wiederkommen.

L'emplacement est tout simplement génial, comme dans un rêve, Kleanthis était très sympathique et très accueillant et très réactif, je recommande vivement ce logement

From the minute we arrived (actually before, as the host, Kleanthis, arranged a taxi to meet us at Pothia) our experience was amazing. Kleanthis greeted us on arrival and kindly left us Kalymnos bread and cake, plus fruit and wine. There were a few basics in the fridge, bottles of water and well stocked cupboards (olive oil, herbs, tea, coffee etc). The house overlooks the beach with far reaching views across the bay. Beautiful sunsets. Private steps lead down to the beach. A good sized kitchen and large sea facing balcony accessible from the kitchen and main bedroom. Large shower with lovely hot water. Shower gel, shampoo and soap all provided. Comfortable lounge seating and English TV. Easy walk to the Telendos ferry and to the main restaurants and shops area. When we left, Kleanthis came to bid us farewell. We felt more like family leaving and not just tourists! We left Pothia with a gift of Kalymnos bread from Kleanthis. Overall a gem on the Aegean - it is comfortable, clean and convenient. Excellent communications from Kleanthis before and during our stay. We will be back.

We had a wonderful four night stay at Effies House. The house is in a great location. It's an easy walk to many shops and restaurants. The best is having the beach right outside your door and hearing the ocean outside your window. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. The sunset views are incredible. The owner is so kind and very responsive. He was able to accommodate an early check-in for us and even helped us in getting to the airport when our stay was over.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is just perfect - above a nice beach, close to the shops, reastaurants, port and bus stop. The house was very clean. The host prepared for us some goodies to welcome us. The communication was easy and eficcient. Thank you Kleanthis, we will come back next year.

Good location in relation to the beach, shops and other services. The facilities were on point and wonderful welcome treats were waiting for us. Perfect scenery, really good firm beds and no sounds could be heard inside. The bedroom was nice and cool. The wonderful Kleantis organized a ride from the harbor to the accommodation for us and explained the ferry schedule on the day of departure. It was easy to communicate with him. We also got a tip where to rent a scooter and places to visit. We loved the place!

Locayion and view was really great and our home owner was really helpfull. We definitely come next time

The location of the house is simply stunning! It is in a busy location, with lots going on around you, but is quiet and the sound of the sea is very special. Steps take you down to the most lovely beach with crystal clear sea. A great selection of restuarants and takeaways only mins away from the house. Beautiful sunsets. The owner of the house is wonderful and does everything he can to make your stay special. We had the best welcome pack I have had anywhere before, including a cake, wine, jams, butter, marmalades, juices, croissants, water... Really lovely when you have travelled a long way. The house is great. Quite large. A proper kitchen and a washing machine, a kettle, sandwich toaster...

The double mattress, although pretty new was just too hard for me to sleep on. I know Greek mattresses are much firmer than those in the UK but this was like a washboard. Instead slept on one of the single mattresses which were fine. The water pressure was usually very low in the bathroom so at times the water would only come out of the tap and not the shower.
