"We had a wondeful holiday at Bachylis cottage."

The host was very welcoming and friendly. Shona showed us round and explained all the facilities. There was a welcome package with tea coffee and treats plus fresh milk and eggs in the fridge. The views and the scenery were stunning. The accommodation was warm, comfortable and relaxing it provided a superb base for exploring Orkney.

Everything was excellent there was nothing I did not like.

"A perfect stay in a wonderful location! Can't recommend enough."

Self catering. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. Shona had left us a welcome tray and milk and eggs as well as fresh flowers. The cottage was very cosy and well furnished. It contained everything we needed. We have rented holiday cottages often in the past and Bachylis is one that we particularly enjoyed. . .

Wonderful hosts and warm welcome. Shona and Billy could not have been more accommodating and helpful.Ease of getting out and about to all the amazing sights of Orkney. On a bus route and near to ferry hopping terminals.

Nothing. Orkney more than lived up to our expectations as first time visitors to the island.

perfect location overlooking loch of Kirbister…watching a pair of curlews feeding in the field just below the house was amazing and even the swallows buzzing around were friendly … bed was very comfortable… as were the sofa’s… perfectly equipped with everything I needed …. immediately felt at home

Shona met us at midnight (after getting off the ferry) and she showed us around thoroughly despite the time. Great service, and a gift of lovely eggs too.
