"Good location. Nice facilities. Great hosts."

8.0

This cottage is in a great location within walking distance of the train station and just two blocks from the village shop that has everything one would need for a proper breakfast or lunch (closes at 6p). The town is quiet and in a beautiful setting. Very near is a towpath upon which one could have a lovely walk to the neighboring, and larger town, of Hungerford. Also within walking distance, and along the canal, is the Dundas Arms. A very nice pub that has a lovely garden (the night we were there they had live music). You may also enjoy a proper sit down dinner (reservation required), or just snacks. There is also a nice pub next door to this property. We enjoyed meeting some locals there and loved their homemade, oven fired pizza. The pub noise was not a problem - and we are early to bed people. The hosts were lovely and communicated beautifully. All in all a very pleasant stay.

The cottage has all the necessities plus a few luxuries - I didn't try the projector in the bedroom!

"Home from home, ideal for a business trip with easy access to M4"

9.0

Very spacious small cottage for one or two guests, ample dining and kitchen space. Kitchen was well-supplied with utensils. Projector TV in bedroom is an added bonus. Loved the sofa, beanbag and soft furnishings.

There really isn't much more you could expect from a cottage of this vintage. The bathroom is only downstairs which makes night-time trips down the steep staircase a bit tricky. It's right on the road, so morning traffic noise, while slow, is a bit intrusive.

"Excellent would stay again thank you"

8.0

Lovely cottage right near where we wanted to be. Open fire easy to use and made lounge very cosy.

Being very picky but would have like a little freezer compartment for ice cubes and ice cream and also another saucepan for cooking our full English breakfasts.

"The stay was very pleasant."

6.0

Central location in village and within beautiful country side. Open fire and supply of wood. Size if cottage was greater than expected.

The accommodation was very basic and not as clean as I had expected.
