il Pettirosso in Positano

Our host met us on the street and showed us to the apartment it was an easy transition!

The only downside was the weather which made it difficult to get out and about- but the cozy kitchen, beautiful communal space made days in cozy!!

The villa was beautiful with an amazing view. Perfect size for 4 people, the rooms were a good size. We loved sipping wine on the balcony and taking in the beauty of Positano! We loved our stay!

Wish Positano didn't have so many steps (haha!!). Seriously, if you have problems climbing stairs, this villa is high up with steep steps.

We loved the views, as well as the layout of this apartment. Both bedrooms had stunning views of the water from the double doors out onto the balcony. The decor was gorgeous so we felt very happy, relaxed and spooky in this place.

The size of the property and it's view are incredible. It has three terraces to which you can either enjoy breakfast or wash and dry all your clothes... A lovely place to take in the mornings, all day vistas and twinkling nights, and a lower garden deck with sail shading for lying on a recliner. The air-conditioners all worked well - which is important in the height of summer. The staff met us on site and was very responsive in providing tips. It's located right next to a great set of restaurants in really close walking distance. Absolutely LOVED Fornillo Beach - great way is to walk down... then walk around to the main beach and catch the bus back up the hill home. There is a pastry story just down the hill and they make incredible snacks to take with you. Pistachio creme danishes... wow!

I think when you first arrive in Positano - especially in mid summer - it's overwhelming. We came by ferry, which was great to see the views. But - you MUST organise a Positano Porter to bring up your bags. We then had to climb quite a few stairs to get to the bus stop - you can only take the INTERNO POSITANO bus - comes every 20mins or so... which heads up in one direction for a long while before winding down to where you can get off your stop. The first time this can be a bit confusing. We actually ended up using a cab before we could figure out all the bus routes (but we were tired and travelling all day from Tuscany!). I think I would prob recommend - if you are a first timer - getting a private transfer from Naples or Salerno to your front door and having a little time to figure out the way the transport works.

The location was fabulous. High enough to get amazing views but not too high. Also close to great restaurants. And shops. We really loved having our own terrace to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the spectacular view. As a family of three adults the two bathrooms was also a bonus.

Big apartment, well equipped, magnificent view from the beautiful terrace!

Rather thin walls, so there was quite some noise from the apartment upstairs. Really many stairs down to the beach, but the view is worth it!

The apartment is tired looking and can use a complete paint job inside as well as new furniture. One of the bathroom showers had mold on the floor as well as in a d around the soap dish.

Awesome villa in Positano! The villa is centrally located and has beautiful views of the sea. Stefania was a gracious host answering all our questions and helping us with whatever we needed. The villa is spacious clean and equipped with everything we needed. Rosanna met us with the keys and showed us around- she was very helpful as well. I would highly recommend this property- it did not disappoint!
