Traditional Medieval Stone house in "Ano Syros"

The property is in the heart of ano Syros and about 3 min walk from most of the bars and restaurants with a restaurant just opposite as well. We loved having a drink or meal outside the front!

The Medieval Stonehouse is an absolute gem. It has everything you require for your stay. We were very comfortable. Yannis, the owner, was very welcoming and shared lots of information and recommendations to get the most out of our stay in Ano Syros and the surrounding area. We will definitely be returning.

Be aware that Ano Syros consists of thousands of stairs. We arrived with heavy backpacks in the middle of an August day! We were grateful for the excellent air conditioning. Do make sure you arrive with essentials, there is only one mini-mart in the old town, which is a decent walk from the property up and down lots of stairs. The taverna across from the property was wonderful!

Perfect location in the heart of Ano Syros, with a wonderful restaurant as your neighbour. Such a beautiful stone house and we loved our stay! The host, Yannis replies fast and is very helpful. Definitely coming back!

The Stonehouse is in an amazing location set in Ano Syros and only accessible on foot. It has everything you need and is close to eateries and beautiful churches. It’s so quiet you will often find the streets are completely deserted. The location has to be seen to be believed - it’s dreamy! Yiannis is an amazing host and could not have been more helpful. Make sure you follow his instructions for how to get to the house to avoid having to climb too many steps (get a taxi to the closest entrance). We had backpacks rather than suitcases, which helps. I would not recommend the house if you can’t manage steps.

The house is amazing! Traditional cosmfirtable and the location is great if you are planning to stay in Ano Syros.

The location is fabulous, unique. A taste of medieval village life with of course some modern adaptations. Our host was perfect for us. Very informative, helpful, attentive, and we knew he was there for us if needed. But we managed fine on our own.

We actually didn't mind all the climbing, the stairs to get to the village and the house. (We also hired a small car.) Yannis tells you what to expect and he's accurate. Take his advice. The house is medieval. There is no damp course. It is a little musty and there are some compromises with the plumbing for the shower. You need to use the windows. My wife found the bed too hard. But if I sound negative, take no notice. We stayed five days and we loved it
