Riverside Cottage

Location excellent. Parking terrible especially as it rained a lot and had to walk to get car

Summer duvet was not warm enough for the not so good weather. Was still cold with the throw on as well

Lovely cottage in an ideal location, very close to town centre. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Bonus having garden overlooking the river.

It's a lovely character full cottage, and the view from the living/dinning room,is absolutely gorgeous, hearing the birds sing every day is just wonderful. The short walk into the town center is a bonus.

Unfortunately it is not the best accomodation,for people with poor mobility, or small children, as there are hight stone steps down to the patio garden. Unfortunately it was not possible to sit in the garden and enjoy the river and itsy surroundings, due to the amount of wasps. Noise from the road, is a lot, but that can't be helped, maybe triple glazing at the road side of the house would help. Also the use of far too many electric, extension leads , I believe are not safe, my phone charger over heated very quickly. And sorry, but the beds were not comfortable.

Great cottage very clean and lovely views from the garden. Just a short walk into town.

It was a really cosy, well equipped, and clean cottage, perfect for staying in while we visited family. Location was handy for walking to the nearby bus stop, and we really enjoyed a takeaway curry from Bengal Lounge one evening (recommended!) The master bedroom was quiet and comfortable and has a lovely view of the river.

The smaller bedroom at the front gets a lot of road noise and the mattress on my single bed was very springy/uncomfortable. The shower also suffers from low pressure occasionally and the temperature fluctuates (but I also have the same problem at home so can't complain too much!)

Excellent location

Very noisy in front bedroom on a main road, unable to have the window open. Could do with a few little wow’s such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner in bathroom. Foil and oil in kitchen

The view from the cottage was fabulous. The location of the cottage to stroll into Wetherby village and access all the great cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and take in the river was perfect. The location to other stunning places where we could SUP the rivers (albeit lots of weirs!) also perfect. The cottage itself had almost everything including the much needed ice in the freezer!. The shower was excellent and in all the cottage was comfortable. The communication from the owners was excellent and could not be faulted. The welcome board made us smile. We enjoyed our stay here.

Although parking was available outside the nearby Sainsbury's, the cottage is on a very busy road. The owners made us very aware of this repeatedly. Unloading and loading the car involved bumping up on the pavement and causing congestion.We didn't enjoy this part of our stay. It was an incredibly hot weekend that we chose to stay in Yorkshire and when we arrived the cottage was like a greenhouse. The sun was on the back of the house and the windows were huge to maximise the view understandably. We ensured the curtains were closed in the afternoon to try and minimise the temperature A fan or two would have been very much appreciated. We had some friends join us for a drink outside before we walked into town on the Saturday night. Although as customers you have no access to the river flowing past the cottage it turns out the neighbour does. A very unsettling moment when she appeared out of nowhere in her swimwear and completely ignored us as she unlocked the gate and walked past us to her own garden..a little heads up from the owners about this would have been appreciated. Finally the booking allows for a dog to stay. We had arranged to take our two sausage dogs but changed our minds last minute which turned out to be a good decision. The residence was not suitable for our dogs. There is no grass garden and the area outside the back which is comfortable for humans is concrete with big steps.

It was very central to everything in Wetherby which has good pubs and restaurants. Outside seating and views of river.

No carparking. We eventually found some roadside parking but it was for resident permits only. Two big free carparks 5-10 mins walk away. We weren't sure about leaving car at Old Station/Linton car park as it seemed a bit remote..but it was fine.

Lovely Cottage with everything needed. Great views out of the back onto the river. Great location just a walk into Wetherby town centre.

If anything, parking was awkward with lots of yellow lines. However we were advised of all of the options prior to arriving and did find space nearby.
