Exclusive Central Home with Sauna next to the New York Café

Goede ligging en rustig tijdens de nacht.

Het appartement was niet zo proper en bepaalde zaken (zoals de douche) zijn echt wel aan vervanging toe.

The rooms were very clean and totally worth the prize! Thanks to the hosts.

Great location, very large apartment that was clean. Great hosts, allowed us early access to drop baggage.

Only a minor point but it was incredibly hot when we stayed and the air con struggled to cool down the rooms properly, perhaps due to the high ceilings, but this was fine for a short stay.

The apartment is lovely and spacious and in a great location! The host was great and super helpful and communicative.

Nothing! It was great

Everything was going well until Friday night turned into Saturday morning—specifically, at 4 AM—when the apartment code that had worked just fine until then suddenly decided to retire from duty. From that moment on, my six friends and I found ourselves stranded on the street, in the middle of the night, in the cold. I called the host, who picked up, groggy and half-asleep. After explaining the situation, I was told that such a thing was "impossible" and that I should send a video as proof. Dutifully, I sent the video via WhatsApp, only to receive... absolute silence. When I called again to follow up, I discovered that the host had taken the most "customer-oriented" approach possible—blocking me. (See "problem resolution" for reference.) At that point, we began calling from my friends' phones, but unsurprisingly, no one answered. It wasn’t until 5:30 AM that we managed to break into the apartment with the help of a long stick borrowed from the kind staff at the pizzeria next door. Yes, you read that right—we fished the lock open MacGyver-style. What a display of professionalism! But the absurdity didn't end there. The next day, at noon, I was woken up by knocking on the door. Outside stood a group of equally bewildered tourists, asking if we had also booked this place via Booking.com. They were in the same predicament—locked out, unable to enter. Misery loves company, I suppose. Finally, around 5-6 PM, the host graciously decided to share the new building code with us. A round of applause for their timely intervention! This listing should be a source of shame for everyone involved in its existence on Booking.com.

The apartment is in a lovely old building right opposite New York Cafe. Excellent location, we didn't use any public transport, walked everywhere. It was spacious, warm, comfortable and clean with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Lovely fluffy towels! The apartment could easily accomodate three couples. We didn't even get a chance to use sauna but looked great! I will stay here again when I come back to Budapest.

There was nothing we didnt like. Others have mentioned smell in smallest bathroom, it was there but we kept window open and door closed and it wasn't an issue.

There weren ´t pots. In the kitchen were few equipments (glasses, cups…).
