Highfield House

The house is very large and the garden is lovely.

Unfortunately, the interior feels quite dated, and many basic amenities were not provided, including shampoo, shower gel, and laundry detergent. Guests should be aware that they need to bring their own supplies.

Location. Comfortable beds size of property, good for a group. Ease of access to lots of different activities. Garden to sit out. Lovely neighbours. Update and communication from the letting agent.

Only a couple of minor things was strange that there were no ice cube trays as there was a wide variety of other kitchen utensils. The soap try in one shower was rusty. Not sure if I missed it, but there could have been better information prior to arrival re the car park. As sat nav sends you to the front of the property however the parking is accessed from behind the house which is down a little street. It’s difficult to work this out and as it’s a one way street we had to drive around twice.

It was really big. Lots of space for the family. All rooms are large and proximity to the town centre is fantastic

Needed a few more lamps or low level lighting and a few more cookery items such as a whisk, salt, pepper, sugar. Radiators leaking in places but I’m nit picking to be helpful to owners. Beds were amazing, large and comfortable. Showers really powerful. Rooms spacious. View’s amazing. Friendly neighbours.

I stayed at Highfield House with a group of 9 family members. It was a stunning property, spacious and spotless. The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean, bathrooms were lovely. The kitchen was kitted out with everything you could need.. Location of course was excellent. Just a perfect place for what was a perfect weekend. I would definately stay at Highfield House again.

The family came together from all parts of the UK to say goodbye to loved ones. Highfield House was absolutely perfect, spacious, calm and welcoming. The photos don't do justice to the comfort and and quality of the home. It's nicely furnished with period items and appointed to an excellent standard. There was plenty of kitchen ware and space to dine, laugh and relax. The living room proved perfect for charades or a quiet moment to read the paper or have a heart to heart chat. The mattresses and bedding are lovely so a sound night's sleep was had by all. It's a perfect distance from the town, great coffee and food which you can work off in the hills.
