Romantic and historical maisonette in the center of Valletta MBAL1-1

Wonderful and romantic place for 2 people near the center of Valletta! Very comfortable with a large shower! Any information or question we had regarding our stay was given to us immediately by the company that manages the accommodation.

Generally it is quiet place (far away from shops and bars) but there was not soundproof in the flat and early in the morning you can hear cars or passing by people talking or singing! It's an AIRBNB and you need to give in advance 200€ deposit (to be honest we didn't read it before booked) and for 4 nights that we stay we used the same towels that were provided to us in the first time. The bathroom was quite small for tall people. Definitely It's not recommend for noise or messy people!

The property was centrally located, close to all main attractions in Valletta. The hosts were easy to contact and very helpful

For those who prefer being in city center this is perfect location. Apartment was close to the center but in a quiet street, so we were not disturbed by night life. The apartment was well equipped.

One thing that was a bit problem was toilet room. It is rather small and proved to be demanding for any activity because lack of space.

Ideal for a solo traveller or a couple.

Characterful property in a very central location. Well-equipped, particularly if you're looking self-cater.

It's not especially clear that the "compact" toilet/wash basin is downstairs (via a steep, twisting stone staircase) from the bedroom. If you're 6' or taller, the toilet might be a challenge? Despite being a few hundred metres from the city centre, it's not especially quiet. There are some noisy bars nearby; the locals treat the narrow one-way street as something of a Grand Prix track at night and the neighbouring church bells start up at 0645. In more than 40 years of travelling around the world, this is the first occasion where I have had to lodge a 200 Euros "Security Deposit" ahead of the stay and been presented with a 6 page list of charges for loss/damage - down to 2 Euros for a teaspoon.

The property was in a terrific location. Within walking distance to restaurants, bus stops, pharmacies and grocery stores.

I wish there were more windows! It gave a real sense, however, of how the Maltese people live in Malta! Apartment was immaculate.

Great location, very central Clean

Pros: - Location : So amazing! The neighbourhood is full of cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Everything felt so comfortable. We went on a lot of trips and used the buses, and all bus stops (including the one to the airport) are in a short walking distance. During the evening it was safe to walk around and the sea is super close too. - Host: Mel was amazing! So helpful and always in reach when wee needed her! - House: It was well equipped and the bed was comfy. The toilet and the bathroom/shower are seperate, which is always nice. The room has air conditioning and downstairs there is a big fan. - It has a tiny balcony, so if you are a smoker ( we were not though ), that's perfect for you. Also in order to air the room out, the little balcony is nice to have. - Good value for the money.

Cons: - yes it is a bit smelly, but to be honest we noticed this everywhere in Valetta (restaurants, bars etc). I guess in general the city just has an old sewage system? It was mostly noticable when we entered the house from outside, but after 10 minutes, we no longer smelled it. - prepare for loud nights. The location is in the centre, so during the night time the street is noisy, people are yelling, music is on from nearby cafés and also cars are using the street. However, for return you have the most amazing location, everything is near and you can walk to the most important places of Valetta from here. So you should figure your priorities out, because for a centered location you can defo expect some noise during the night.

the location in Valetta was perfect. the description on the appartment was accurate and complete. the staff was very accommodating and quick to answer my questions during the stay

Great location for walking around Valletta and the proximity to good restaurants. The communication from Mel was excellent and their video with directions to the apartment is superb! The apartment has all you need for a short stay for a couple. The noise at night is what you would expect from a city apartment. Good Wi-Fi

We didn't like the smell from the shower room which is off the bedroom nor the steep stairs down from that bedroom & TV area to the toilet and kitchen area. The toilet didn't smell as bad. Some of the QR codes instructions do not work.
