Sett Cottage, Hayfield

cosy and comfortable, well equipped, fantastic location for exploring and we could walk to the start of Kinder Scout, plenty of on-street parking, nice log burner, 2 toilets which was ideal for 4 of us, nice village with plenty of amenities, lovely personal touches, good communication and welcome gifts from the owners.

it's a very small cottage and despite the sign, we did bang our head on the stairs a couple of times.

It's a character cottage in the middle of Hayfield, close to Kinder scout trail. Fantastic, beautiful place, perfect for a short stay for a city getaway or a bit of hiking.

Location tho parking was difficult

Lack of facilities, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer. Lack of space.

Great location to go walking on Kinder Scout. Very comfy cottage and great for 2 friends staying for a few days walking.

The cottage was clean and tidy, situated on the edge of the village with all facilities within a few minutes walk. The shower was very nice after a day out walking, and the wife enjoyed the copper bath in the bedroom.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location.

The cottage was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed. Bed in main room lovely and comfy and bath looks great. Bed in other room is nice but very firm ( great if you have bad back). 2 toilets was a bonus and downstairs shower fab. Lovely little welcome basket was a bonus too. Close to the village centre, and lots of walks from the front door. Plenty to do, nice shops and friendly villagers. Would stay again

We liked everything. But if you are tall you will bump your head on stairs and they are a bit steep so if you have leg trouble this is not for you. But we loved it.
