Coastguard House

The house was in a good location, the hottub was a lovely extra, and was safe for our dog in the garden. The upstairs bathroom was lovely, it worked for us as only two of us, not sure how it would work with other couples as you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.

When we first went in it smelt as if it had been locked up for a while. We also noticed that it was quite dusty, and there was some rubbish under the sofa. The kitchen could be better equipped as there was only one wine glasses, and I think some plastic glasses would be good for outside.

What a gorgeous victorian terraced house. If it was just the house and its location I'd give it full marks. Unfortunately it isn't. Didn't have any real issues with parking and a very short walk to the beach made for a wonderful time for our son and dogs. Rock pooling, climbing rocks, skimming stones and paddling on the beach. Wonderful.

However, despite all that was amazing, the place is very let down by a number of relatively small things. If you read all the previous comments on issues, they all still apply. Even what I would regard as a safety necessity, oven gloves, were not provided. I would say read the negatives and assume they still apply! Absolutely not a two bathroom property. Not an issue for us, but if two couples went the only bathroom is ensuite to bed one! There is a downstairs wc but that is it. Having said all that, we would go again tomorrow but just pack accordingly.

Clean, spacious

Only bathroom through main bedroom.

Very comfortable and cosy feel to the property, close to beach and hot tub is very private, not overlooked by neighbours.

Lovely home, comfy beds, plenty of room, very clean, were allowed to take my dogs, loved the hot tub, garden was a suntrap, free WiFi so kids were happy and smart TV, bathroom was out of this world.

The owner provided towels but there was no tea towel or kitchen roll . The toilet seat needs tightening in the main bathroom as kept sliding.

The house was lovely and really nicely finished.

Parking was OK - however, it's on street and it's a little bit tight if you have a larger car.

The house is lovely and the hot tub is a bonus. The whole place is clean and its great to find a dog friendly house where friends and thier furry friends can enjoy a weekend. Perfect location short walk from a fab beach.

The listing is slightly disingenuous. There is only one bathroom which is ensuite to the main bedroom and a downstairs loo (with a door that doesn't shut properly). With four adults and two kids we were struggling a bit when we realised there isn't actually 2 bathrooms.

The house is beautiful and is a great size. The hot tub is great fun! The house was the perfect space for catching up with friends and is walking distance to the beach and pubs. We had a great weekend!

We found the house lacked some basic things that would've made the stay easier. There was a lack of utensils in the kitchen, no cleaning stuff provided, only one tea towel and no toilet roll or bin bags provided. The WiFi was also incredibly slow.

Lovely house, a lot bigger than the photos show👍🏼 The enclosed patio with the fabulous jacuzzi is ideal for dogs.

If you are a group the shower bath has access only via one bedroom. Just a comment, the show and bath were brilliant. Need to leave spare light bulbs, quite a few out.
