"We enjoyed our stay, kids loved the hot tub and the garden was lovely. Some slight things needed fixed but overhaul had"

10.0

Lovely property, rooms a good size and garden was a sun trap, hot tub a nice touch too.

Overall the property was clean and had everything you needed but unfortunately front door was broken when we arrived and some wallpaper coming off in smaller bedroom.

"Great hot tub"

7.0

The property was spacious and comfortable. The jacuzzi was a lot of fun. Being walking distance to the beach and shops was really handy.

It would have been good to have a welcome pack with instructions on how to use anything (such as the hot tub, TV, WiFi etc). We worked everything out eventually although still have no idea if we were meant to have added any chemicals to the hot tub. There were lots of bits and pieces in need of repair - light bulbs not working, wallpaper peeling off walls, doors not closing properly. None of these were major issues or prevented us from enjoying our stay but they seem like things that could be easily fixed. The main bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom. Whilst this was fine for us, as we are a family, it may not work so well for others. It would have been good for this to be noted in the description details.

"Very disappointing. Would no recommend to anyone"

3.0

The house was advertised as a house with two bathroom. There was in fact one bathroom which was en- suite off one of the double bedroom and a tiny W C under the stair. Totally unsuitable for two couples. The furniture had seen better days as had the towels. Lid to the hot tub was broken Picture of the rear garden was not as we found it. The table and chairs had been replace with an old picnic bench. There were no additional towels for the hot tub. Inside many of the light bulbs were out. Front garden was a mess with a dodgy gate. All in all not anything like shown in the photos. Would suggest the photos were taken a long time ago. Union Jack chair was disgusting. Not worth the money we paid.

"Relaxing."

7.0

Location was ideal as we live in Newcastle so a quick seaside break. My wife and I just wanted a quick relaxing break before I had a major operation. Good restaurants and pubs and plenty of small shops to do before spending an evening in the hot tub.

"Fab family Xmas break"

9.0

We stayed at coastguard house over Xmas and really enjoyed it, was decorated with Xmas tree etc for our arrival, loved the double oven and hob for cooking our Xmas dinner, ordered our meat from the local butcher which was fab and great value for money. Ate out at the Italian and Indian whilst there and would highly recommend. House was lovely and homely and we all loved the hot tub. Great location, 2 min walk to the beach and 10-15min walk to restaurants. No issues with on street parking.

Not dislikes or issues just things to mention. No lock on down stairs loo, bathroom is through main bedroom but not an issue for us. Main bedroom mattress wasn’t as comfy as other double and sofas could do with a bit more padding if I’m being picky (mentioned by the pensioners in the family) and also extra chemicals for the hot tub would be beneficial. But these things aside as they weren’t problems just preferences, we had a lovely family break and have booked again for this Xmas

"Great week in a charming house with a super hot tub."

9.0

Location was great, hot tub was wonderful after a day walking, beds were comfy, property was clean and felt warm and welcoming. It really was a lovely week.

Not a problem for us but the main/only bathroom was through the master bedroom which might be tricky for some groups (there was a downstairs toilet too).

"Disappointing"

4.0

Lovely old house and great location

We chose this house over other cheaper ones because it offered a hot tub that appealed to an elderly member of the family.. We noticed on the bill we had payed to have it cleaned. On our 2nd day we went to use it and it was a 'cold tub' it was 24 degrees and had just climbed into the 30's as we left and as such we couldn't use the feature we chose this house for. Also on arrival the house was cold, we turned the heating up however a few hours later the radiators we barely luke warm to the touch. We looked in the manual l and it stated for us not to touch the boiler which was quite inconvenient as when we looked at the boiler the radiators were set to zero / minimum meaning they would never get warm. A bedside cabinet in the main bedroom had someone else contact lenses on it, along with a unsightly stain on the carpet. We could not empty the bins as the house bin outside was overflowing with rubbish. There was a snail on the bathroom window (inside). There was no lock on the downstairs toilet and the door remained ajar, which wasn't good as there were 5 of us, and the upstairs toilet could not be accessed without going through the main bedroom. Although not the hosts fault, there was no on street parking as neighbours had taken all the spaces, although there is a public car park near. There wasn't enough towels, 4 bath towels for 5 people.
