Coastguard House

The landlord was very pleasant and really tried to help us after we'd had a problem at a previous holiday let. The hot tub was great. Great sized kitchen with everything you needed. A house with character and some nice features. Comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms. Stunning bathroom and spacious. All upstairs rooms clean and comfy. TV downstairs is great. Huge dinning table. Great for families or larger groups. This house is very spacious and very close to the sea and a great location to reach other places easily. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and has a great beach bar/restaurant called 'needles eye'. Lovely food and atmosphere.

Location of the bathroom is a major issue. It is off the main bedroom so when two couples stay it's not appropriate to be walking through their bedroom to use the bathroom. It is advertised as 2 bathrooms but there is only 1 bathroom and a downstairs toilet, again a problem when numerous people are sharing this spacious property. The sofas and seating are stained and rock hard and uncomfortable. We put pillows and duvets from spare beds on them to make them better. On rugs downstairs there were stains and smells. Outdoor doesn't have table and chairs as on pictures, needs relaxing garden furniture to enjoy whilst outside in the hot tub. Lighting outside isn't working so not great for evening alfresco relaxing. Needs an overall facelift/tidy up. This house is in a residential area. Parking is a bit difficult at times and we had a neighbour issue.

Beautiful character property. Very clean and inviting. Perfect location. Hot tub was a great hit! Safe garden for children and dogs. Had all the tools available to make full use of the facilities.

Very pleasant property, good size for a family and close to the sea front. Lovely clean hot tub.

Nice bathroom, slightly awkward that the access was via the main bedroom, however there was an extra loo downstairs.

Was not clean ,dirty teatowels,freezer,chairs,dishes pans ans cobwebs all over had to clean before using. No notice of fridge being in dining room as one in kitchen broken. Says two bathrooms but only one which is through a bedroom and a toilet down stairs.

Good location nearby to the beach, shops and pubs. The hot tub was nice and also clean. The double beds were comfy and the house had a lovely bathroom. It had a very homely feel and was good value for money.

The toilet seat and lock on the bathroom door were broken which has been noted in previous reviews but not repaired. The sofas looked lovely but were not very comfortable. It could have done with a few extra basics such as hand wash and a few more toilet rolls - it was not a problem as we bought these anyway.

Loved the size of the rooms and decor. Very quirky and comfortable!

It was very cold when we arrived and took a good framework hours to warm up. It would have been nice if the heating had been on earlier to warm it through.

The house was clean, well set out, nicely decorated. The hot tub was amazing... there was a book with easy to follow instructions for the heating, hot tub etc..

We liked everything, can't really fault anything at all

The decor was beautiful.

The toilet seat was wobbly , fire place wasn't cleaned out , no logs in the property.
