Barlow Country Club - Mill Farm Cottages

lovely, peaceful location, perfect for a weekend away.

As this is self-catered accommodation, I was disappointed by the lack of cleaning products. A sponge and cloth were provided, but there was no surface cleaner to wipe the counters down with. There was a pump bottle by the kitchen sink that looked more like hand soap rather than washing up liquid so it wasn't clear what this was. We used it as washing up liquid anyway as there was nothing other than fly spray in the cupboard. Additionally, there were lots of cobwebs about the place which could easily be dusted. The rest of the place was clean, but these were unsightly.

Lovely cottage, quiet location. Decent size and layout. We needed accessibility with a ground floor bedroom and bathroom as well as parking and it ticked all those boxes. Well equipped. Beds were super comfy. Lovely private outdoor area. Joanne was really helpful.

Kitchen area is quite compact but manageable. If you want to eat indoors there was a fold up table in cupboard but you'd probably put it away after meals to allow some space in lounge. . We didn't need as ate outside. We took our own fans which was useful as it was hot upstairs in the heatwave, we just had extra hot weather though! A bit of building work was going on next to us but we were informed of that in advance. Cant think of much to improve on...maybe toilet roll holder on bathroom wall.

Good location, great for the dog (enclosed rear yard) host was helpful, nice clean room.

Location was great. Good access to lakeside cafe and nice walking.

It was such a lovely cottage, beautifully presented, cosy, every thing we needed. Loved the walks around the fishing lakes. Had a wonderful time.

That we had to go home. We had everything we needed.

Location is superb - great access to many wonderful places, surrounded by fantastic local eating places.

Not much - I prefer hard mattresses, but that's a personal issue!!
