The Old Lookout

This is brother most difficult review I’ve ever had to do. This was booked for my Son & Daughter in law for a 20th Wedding Anniversary. This was my Sons view, a perfect location for a peaceful few days with the dog. The property I can’t lie needed some tlc, cleanliness on arrival was an issue. Now my view. Having spoken to the owner who was most apologetic and was absolutely able to take some criticism and I thank him for that. There is no doubt the location and position of the old lookout is a major draw and my Son would return knowing some improvements had been made. Both my wife and I would also like to go one day with our little dog. I certainly would say to anyone thinking of booking, go and enjoy this beautiful location.

Excellent location with a beautiful view, great for walking or watching the boats coming in and out to Portland harbour, binoculars were an added bonus. The property had everything you could ever need and was spot on for me and my family. My daughter loved sleeping in the Shepherds hut.

Amazing location

Everything was perfect

The view was stunning,

Had to share the place with the mice, very smoky from woodburner, not very clean, fridge wasn’t great and tap was wobbly in the kitchen. Sheets were dirty.

Amazing property, lovely views nice and peaceful. Clear communication, hot tub fabulous looking out to see. Only thing that could improve would be more comfortable sofa in living room. Everything else great we will be going back hopefully next year.

Incredible location and exceptional views. Has to be seen to be believed! Close to the coastal path, and a 30 minute walk to the lovely pub. Easy bus access to Weymouth and Lulworth. Relaxing hot tub and we were very lucky with the weather. The garden and grounds were huge, and it was easy with our dog. We weren’t overlooked at all, and we loved our stay.

There were a few problems with the building itself, and there were a few things missing/broken/leaking. Some repair, attention and TLC needed! However, the views compensate!

Bed set up and fact that only toilet was off main bedroom is less than ideal for a group of 4 but views and hot tub more than offset this so would return

Extremely hot in the living area. No lock in the bathroom door.
