The Beach House South - Blackpool - Entire Holiday Home

Stunning house, very quirky, owner pretty much thought of everything you could possibly need. Toys for the kids, little welcome pack, extras essentials in cupboards incase you forgot anything. .smart TV in main living area. All fab.

This isn't a dislike but just a suggestion, some upstairs bins in bathroom, toilet etc would be handy, and tv a little bigger in master bedroom. A little out the way , not a massive issue but my husband was on crutches.

Fabulous, large, quirky, comfortable house with a really eclectic mix of decor and styles and everything you might need for a very enjoyable stay. Some of the artwork won't be to everyone's taste (think nudes and skulls!), but it's interesting and different, which is exactly why I booked it in the first place! The location is great, near Harrow Place tram stop and the beach, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Pleasure Beach. The garden is a real sun trap, and enclosed, so great for the dog. Lots of garden furniture to use too. Bryan, the owner, was very friendly, responsive and flexible with an early check-in, and the welcome pack and cleaning products were appreciated. The main areas of the house were clean and well-presented, and we loved the well-equipped kitchen and fab sun room with underfloor heating! All in all, the house has a real wow factor and we loved it; the toys and collectibles displayed in the hall are a nice touch, and there was lots of space for 6 of us plus a dog to relax and enjoy the surfing/art deco/bohemian vibe!

Some of the artwork is admittedly a little creepy (red velvet skull over the bed, and a rocking horse, was the stuff of nightmares for my teen son and his girlfriend lol), and not to our taste, and I'm not personally a huge fan of all the artificial plants and plastic decorations, but these are very minor points and totally subjective. The front garden could do with a bit of TLC, and likewise, parts of the house might benefit from a clear out and a deep clean, as there a lot of things in the cupboards and kitchen drawers which just appear to have been left there either by the owner or other holidaymakers, and it can perhaps seem a little... messy and unprofessional for quite an expensive (to me at least) holiday let? Maybe just a little TOO much of a home-from-home experience!! Again, not a massive issue though.

Lovely house, very quirky. Good location. The kitchen/ conservatory sitting room was really modern. Really clean and lovely little personal touch was the essential groceries added in the property for our arrival.

Decor in one of the rooms just wasn't to my taste as felt it a little overpowering & when entering property from front in evening its very dark as the garden has large trees covering doorway.

one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. We were spoilt ! Milk , bread, cereal (and the heating set to be on ) on our arrival. private parking ; and all the amenities we could ask for . amazing location ; really quiet street. garden is gorgeous . LOVE the decor throughout the house , for us (4 adults and 2 children ) , it was a real home from home stay. we couldn’t have asked for more from the owner - thank you so much . amazing value for money , and a perfect and amazingly comfortable base for all of us . we enjoyed it so much !

There was nothing we didn't like about the property, it was very comfortable and extremely homely.

The location is excellent, the garden is brilliant also and a real sun trap and the living space was very comfortable also. Bryan is also a great host and is really approachable and friendly as well.

Cleanliness was an issue but not a massive one - however it could be for the host if standards are left as is. I spoke with Bryan directly on this point - other than that minor issue this place is great.
