Sunny House with views to Edinburgh Skyline

Lovely home with great resources and attention to detail. Quite close to Edinburgh city but in a lovely quiet cul de sac. We had a squirrel family visit us in the back garden.

Typical 2 up and 2 down - steep stairs and upstairs bathroom with shower over the bath.

Everything was lovely, we even got a wonderful warm welcome with a few little treats during our stay!

A comfortable house in a great location

Quiet residential location, easy walking distance to shops and botanical gardens, elevated position gave nice view of the city with Edinburgh castle in the distance. Bus stop close by, but the walk into the city was easy (about a 50 minute walk). Walk to Leith also easy, with a direct well surfaced path (disused railway line, now used for pedestrians and cyclists) this took just over an hour to walk, to visit the Royal yacht Britannia. Private garden and parking. Comfortable house with well equipped kitchen, excellent welcome selection of food and drink supplied by our host Lorraine, which was a lovely surprise. House was very clean and the facilities were excellent.

We liked everything. We were not aware before our stay that the house is on a steep slope, this could result in access difficulties for people with mobility problems, but was not an issue for us.

Everything! Couldn't ask for a better stay, home from home with the warmest of welcomes, easy access to city centre, shops, buses and taxis, loved our stay and would certainly recommend.
