The road to the property

Our second stay at Orton Estate Fochabers and loved it! Great cottage for a family with teenage kids who are looking for something different other than staying in a family room in a hotel. Clean, comfortable and a beautiful location. We used it as a base for visiting family in Elgin but there’s loads to do in the area. Definitely recommend and would love to come back in the winter time to use the log burner.

the track to the house was bumpy, we just took it slowly but tricky in the dark.

Shower wasn’t that powerful but worked okay

The most amazing property. So peaceful and secluded. Excellent communication with the host. Will definitely return. First class property. First class service.

Access road.

Perfect location for me. Not too far from and not too close to where I am working. It’s secluded, which suits me fine. A well equipped, comfortable and clean property. the main bed was very comfortable and the pillows just the right firmness for me. Plenty of wardrobe space in the bedroom and cupboard space in the kitchen. The kitchen was very well equipped and perfect for my stay. The instruction pack was very well informative and didn’t leave anything to doubt. It’s a shame this place isn’t available every time I’m working in the area as I would stay here every time

Hard to find anything wrong with the place. If I had to be really picky, and this is very picky, there wasn’t a plug for the sink in the kitchen. That’s about it really

awesome property, clean and well cared for. lots of thought gone into what you may need. if you like to stargaze it’s perfect, light pollution is very minimal.

the only downside for most will be the road down to the property, it’s an old track so a bit bumpy and rocky in places
