The Old Thatch, Lemybrien

Lovely, cosy thatched cottage. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. The kids were delighted to find toys to play with so that was a great bonus 🙂

Very homely and extremely comfortable

The cottage was really pretty and had a lovely feeling inside. The sitting room was comfortable and the selection on the tv for the kids was excellent which was a real bonus after a long day. Very clean in the bathroom and in general. The place was cozy and warm as the heating was on timer for a generous amount of time which was lovely in the bad weather. The owner did a fabulous job of adding accessories in a great way to make it even more cosy. Plenty of towels, all lovely and soft. It even had an airfyer which was a nice extra even though we didn’t use it.

Some of the mattresses were very uncomfortable. Maybe they would be ok for small children but not suitable for teens or older children as they were so thin and lumpy. This was a pity because the cottage was lovely and it took from it. Some mould on the walls in places but this I think is to be expected in a cottage of this age. The only other thing that wasn’t ideal was the ceiling heights in the bedrooms and bathroom. Not suitable if you are a tall family as you won’t be able to stand up straight. So If you are 6 feet or over this cottage won’t be for you.

Very small if you are 4people or more Kitchen not clean Could use some more cleaning here and there

The house was lovely and cosy in a secure quiet location off the main road Board games were good for the kids and toys upstairs
