"Pleasant accommodation a stone’s throw away from all the action"

7.0

Well presented, clean property with accommodating responsive hosts. The location is excellent for access to the city centre. The house accommodates a group of 5 comfortably and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The host gave detailed instructions and treated us to a box of chocolates and generous tea and coffee for our perusal. There was good connection to wifi, tv and music and once the heating came on the space was nice and cosy. The outside space looked lovely though we didn’t use it as it was raining during our stay.

The constant noise of traffic due to single glazing throughout the house and proximity to the main road. Also the toilet is on the ground floor so if you need to use the bathroom during the night and you are sleeping at the top floor you need to climb down two flights of stairs to get to it. This may have been a one off due to the cold weather outside but we found clusters of big flies in most rooms milling around lights and the window panes. We tried getting them out but gave up after a while as there were too many.

The location of the property was very good and was within walking distance of all shops and restaurants etc. in Canterbury. The facilities within the property were all available for all members of the family which was very handy.

The noise of traffic was very loud from outside noise as the property was located on the main road making the front ground floor bedroom difficult to sleep, shame that no thought of secondary internal glazing is provided for the guests being a listed building and external existing sash windows cannot be altered. Abit over the top with pictures covering all wall surfaces, especially the scary large one in the dining room showing a child's tooth being pulled out.

"If you love your sleep stay somewhere else"

4.0

Very close to the town centre.

Parking and dropping luggage off was a serious problem, double yellow lines everywhere ! Front door of the property is about 3 meters from main road . The noise was unbearable from the traffic we had very little sleep over the 3 nights . Cottage is quiet small and had too much furniture and clutter .

Good Location. In house is everything that we needed.

Very noisy street and parking difficulties can be a challenge.

"Central location of a well equipped and interesting cottage."

8.0

Great cottage with everything you need, located centrally. Lovely sitting area at the rear. The location is a main road so 2 bedrooms are a bit noisy with 1 bedroom at the back. Parking is at a car park but the host can arrange parking for a fee.

"We had a great time and wished it could have been longer ."

8.0

It was characterful, clean and very comfortable . Excellent location. Lovely outside space . The host made us very welcome .

It was very noisy from the road but this could not have been changed due to the location. A picture in the dining room was a little scary but a great talking point .
