Peacock Cottage

For what we needed it was a perfect break away, literally minutes drive from beautiful walks in the Forest, quiet and comfortable.

The only drawback is the bathroom is downstairs.

Fantastic location with a beautiful woodland walk just across the road. The local pub was a bit dated but very friendly and worth a visit.

Quite, well maintained & lovely garden, safe for our Dog

The house was cozy and clean, and is situated near all of the forest of dean and other tourist attractions. Easy drive to Forest of Dean Railway stations. Kitchen equipped with utensils and cutlery suitable for self catering over 2 nights stay. Bed is comfortable. House has a lovely Patio area that you can enjoy with 2 working chimeneas. House has lovely view on either side (front and back). Host was very communicative and informative throughout the booking and checkout process. Enough clean towels and blankets provided for the entire trip. House is also equipped with decent white goods (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer).

We had to pick up several instances of dog poop in the rear garden (possibly left by previous guests) in order to avoid stepping in it in the dark when taking our own dog to pee at night. Apart from the above, we had no other issues. Having a decent sized long garden was convenient to us as we had a large dog with us who enjoyed having a sniff about in the night.
