Tangle Tower

The location is perfect for visiting loch Ness, lots of walking and bike routes, there is bus stop out straight into Inverness next to the house. Although it is a very manageable walk. The views are amazing and the viewing room is so peaceful, the house is full of everything you could possibly need. Even down to the token for the shopping trolley. It has a homely relaxing feeling,where you can watch wildlife while recharging your body's batteries. Plenty of towels and hot water, the nature reserve 3 minutes walk takes you up to the canal a lovely place to visit right on your doorstep. Lots of information on places to visit, sit is viewing room planning your adventure's while looking out for dolphins. The local leisure centre has a fabulous pool with slides so don't forget the children's swimming suits perfect for a rainy day. I can't recommend Tangle Tower highly enough. You won't be disappointed

Couches and chairs in main living room are very very worn and saggy when sitting in them.

Wat een ongelofelijk leuk huis. Heel ruim, met een prachtige tuin en uitzicht op het water. Vanaf de torenkamer ook prachtig zicht. Zeer comfortabel, alle voorzieningen aanwezig.

Wer das Besondere und traumhafte Ausblicke auf das Wasser liebt, wird mit dieser Unterkunft sehr glücklich sein. Ein mit viel Liebe zum Detail saniertes und umgebautes Schmuckstück, das von jeder der drei Etagen die freie Aussicht auf Bucht und Boote ermöglicht. Die Ausstattung ist komplett, so dass es auch kein Problem ist, im Haus zu kochen, Restaurants oder Pubs gibt es in der unmittelbaren Umgebung nämlich nicht (allerdings eine Bushaltestelle nach Inverness, sollte man das ansonsten dringend empfohlene Auto nicht nutzen wollen). Zwei Tipps: Schaut euch vorher z.B. mit Street View die direkte Umgebung an, um nicht überrascht zu sein, denn die ist architektonisch nicht sehr reizvoll; aber wenn man erst einmal in diesem tollen Objekt angekommen ist, kann einem das getrost egal sein. Apropos drinnen: Es ist ein altes Haus mit Geschichte und Tradition und entsprechend mit wenigen kleinen Einschränkungen, unter anderem, dass die Heizung nicht dauerhaft in Betrieb ist. Wir haben dennoch nicht gefroren – hatten aber auch das Glück, sehr außergewöhnliche schottische Sommertage erwischt zu haben. What an amazing place. We spent 2 weeks driving through Scotland and Tangle Tower was the accomodation that stood out to us the most. We loved the location, the views, and the house was so cosy. If I was ever back in Inverness I'd 100% want to stay there again.

For a family with young children, it can be a little awkward as parents are on ground floor and other bedrooms are higher. But this was only a minor inconvenience

The extra touches such as the eggs and milk were thoughtful and the lemon drizzle cake was a wonderful treat. And the cleanliness of the house was excellent.

The WiFi wasn’t as strong as ideal and didn’t reach the upper bedroom without being a fair bit slower than in the living room and kitchen, but a minor issue.

Perfect location . Ideal regular bus service in to town . House is beautiful and clean and feels like a home every thing you need is there
